A sense of community is important to Royal, and he donates his services to a number of groups in the Twin Cities. Each year, Royal designates a percentage of his business for charitable causes and teams with organizations that he feels can benefit from his involvement and services.

Current and past recipients include the University Pediatrics Foundation, the Liver Foundation, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the March of Dimes, Penumbra Theatre Company, the Community Reinvestment Fund and the Animal Humane Society.
